This raised garden bed features an open base and is designed to be installed directly onto prepared ground or another suitable growing surface. It is not supplied with a solid bottom.
The steel is delivered in its original finish and will gradually develop its distinctive protective rust-coloured patina after exposure to outdoor weather. If you wish to speed up the weathering process, lightly mist the surface with a solution of salt water and a small amount of washing-up liquid.
During the initial weathering period, avoid prolonged contact with light-coloured clothing or porous surfaces, as some surface rust may transfer until the protective patina has fully developed.
